About 50km from Kon Tum city, in Kon Plong district, Mang Den is located in the Truong Son range, with an altitude of over 1,200m above sea level, in the Northern Central Highlands.
Mang Den is a deviation from the Kinh name T'mang deeng, the native M'Nong language meaning large, flat land.
Mang Den Plateau belongs to the tropical humid monsoon climate belt, cool all year round, the average annual temperature is from 18 to 20ºC. Not only attractive to tourists with an average temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius, Mang Den is also particularly attractive because of its vast forests with rich and diverse flora and fauna, creating conditions for the development of eco-tourism and resorts.
People here also affectionately call Mang Den the land of "seven lakes, three waterfalls" associated with the legend of the god Pling creating this place. These are Toong Ly Leng, Toong Ziu, Toong Zo Ri, Toong Sang, Toong Po, Toong Dam and Dak Ke lakes and three waterfalls are Pa Sy, Dak Ke and Dak Pne waterfalls.

When is the best time to travel to Mang Den?
Thanks to its impressive altitude of more than 1,200m, Mang Den has a climate quite similar to Da Lat, creating cool and pleasant weather all year round. The average temperature is about 26°C and the lowest in winter is about 5°C.
With this climate characteristic, visitors can choose to visit in all months of the year, depending on each month, this land will show its own beauty when wearing a new "coat".
